I just finished up the last of the birthday shenanigans this morning that department of licensing. Turning twenty six was better than turning twenty five, probably because it’s not a number that is divisible by five. Simple but true.
I won’t go on about what I got from who or how many folks I’ve had around me over the past few days. I will say, however, that I feel very lucky & grateful to have such a solid group of family and friends that I genuinely enjoy. They are not the type of people who make you question every sentence you say. My group of friends has been tried, tested & ultimately whittled down over the past two years, but if you look at any group of friends aged 18 to 25 you’d see the same. It’s sad indeed but luckily I’m delighted with who’s left.
The photo above was taken yesterday at the Woodland Park Zoo. The hippos were unusually active. After working our way through the zoo’s exhibits we saw The Avett Brothers. It was the final show of the ZooTune’s series and contributed to the feeling of “hipster day” at the zoo. And luckily, there was no rain.
In a few minutes I’ll leave for guitar search part 4, back to Tacoma… I’m hoping to fall in love.
Update (9:15 pm): I fell in love.
